The day I have been waiting for! The kitchen is being installed.
We are doing an IKEA kitchen. This will be our second one using IKEA cabinets. They are budget friendly and are pretty easy to do yourself. Jim had a few kinks in hanging the railing because the horizontal cabinets need to be lower then the vertical railings. He also had to lower the horizontal cabinet over the stove because it made the microwave too high to reach into. No biggy, he lowered it and filled the holes. I went back and primed the holes and painted the section the wall color. I now have a great spot for my grandma's antique bowl and jars. It worked out for the better.
Jim has installed the real kitchen sink. It is still just temporary, but works great. It will be removed to install the granite and then put back for good. He also put on a few handles. The kitchen is not done but is so much better then before! Keep watching for more pictures of the progress.
